I find myself wildly upset, even with ‘my side’ now.

I have not been posting on short form for a couple of weeks, & I am not gonna lie, it’s hard. FOMO is real. I often pick up to record & have to force myself to set my phone down & not dive right back into the shit.

That being said, I am in the comments.

I say all that to say I am watching people online wear little hands to mock the ice agent 6 inches away in their face, to be funny. Dancing at them, playing music at them, while I understand & even preach that every act of resistance is still an act of resistance no matter the size… I am a hypocrite, an angry one.

These people will act upset that you held a tiny hand in their face during their job, paying them $48 an hour AFTER their $50k sign-on bonus. You think they give a fuck that you sang FDT in their face & wave plastic hands at them? They are looking at you like a hamster on a wheel. Docile, a dog barking aggressively behind a fence, only to know the gate is open & it’s all bark.

A FEW TRUTHS TO BE MAD AT ME ABOUT:

1) This will not just ‘go away’ if we dance, joke, & sing at them. They are banking on that.
2) It will not be ‘just three more years of this.’ He is not following the rules now. You think he’s gonna hand shit over?

3) The America you know is gone; the sooner you mourn it, the sooner we can build.

4) You deserve to be angry, but be smart; Paranoia keeps you safe.
5) Put your oxygen mask on first; you cannot help someone else who is drowning if you are also drowning.
6) Leaving the country doesn’t mean you stop the fight; you need to be advantageous with your choices, and that is one of them on the table. (Hot take: I personally believe they are going to take away your ability to leave in the next 2-6 months)
7) You are not alone; everyone is waiting for someone to act & be a domino. Everyone is scared & that’s okay. This is uncharted territory. Be afraid, but be smart.
8) It is going to get worse, a lot worse.
